Who We Are
Founded in 1968, Urban Mission is a 501(c)3 human service organization, providing a broad range of programs to vulnerable populations in Jefferson County. Working in tandem with a network of local churches, businesses, human service agencies, philanthropic partners, schools, community leaders, donors and volunteers, the Mission provides supportive services and advocacy to those struggling with generational poverty, substance use disorder, domestic violence, financial set-backs caused by job loss or illness, homelessness, food insecurity, mental  behavioral health issues, and feelings of loneliness and isolation.
